Relatively Queer (Workshops, Resources, and Anthology Project)

Developed and facilitated in collaboration with K Angel and Erica Rivera, Relatively Queer is an ongoing creative writing and grass-roots history project intended to assist queer and trans* people in engaging with elements of concealed queerness in their family of origin through non-fiction, poetry, and other mixed-media forms. Through collaborative workshops, an online community space, and open-source resources, we help participants explore occluded histories of queerness within their family circle and make kin with queer relatives they may have been prevented from knowing, or knowing fully, as the basis for a developing anthology of formally promiscuous creative writing.
